About us, We're passionate about going above and beyond the expectations of our clients and making things as simple as possible for them.
About us

Onsite Law emerged from a belief that doing business with a law firm should be simple, flexible and easy. We've seen how traditional law firms often fail to meet the needs of the people they work for. We've listened to clients and we've created ways to improve the experience of working with a law firm.

We believe that as a business-person your time is precious. This means that we can, if you wish, come to you at your place of business. By coming to you, we are able to gain a first hand and in-depth understanding of your business. With this level of understanding, we can tailor high quality legal advice to suit your specific circumstances. We believe that this is a better way to give you the service and the outcome that you deserve.

We also believe in giving you financial certainty from the start. We've listened to clients who tell us they want to know how much it will cost to use a law firm. We've also listened to people who have been charged by the minute by other law firms for extras like phone calls, emails and photocopies. We believe that a better way to do business is to know what the costs will be right from the start. That's why our fees are fixed for most commercial projects at a flat-rate. All of our charges are disclosed to you upfront in a costs agreement with absolutely no hidden charges.

When we work with you we believe in making sure that all of our legal advice is made simple and clear. We use plain English in all our work and tell you what you need to know in terms that make sense. We always return your calls and we're fast to respond to your emails and questions. Open and honest dialogue with our clients, it's yet another reason why you'll love working with Onsite Law.

Onsite Law is based in Kawana on the Sunshine Coast.

Buying/Selling a Business

Whether you're buying a business or selling one we understand that it's a potentially challenging and stressful time. We've worked on a huge number of transactions representing both buyers and sellers.

There's a legal process that must be followed for any business sale or purchase and there's enormous risks that must be properly managed. Helping people through this process in the most simple and stress-free way is something we pride ourselves on doing time and time again. It's how we started our business so it's an area of law that we know backwards.

Leasing

Entering into a lease can be a huge financial risk. We have helped both landlords and tenants to ensure they are properly protected and their leases contain the right terms for their business. We make negotiating a new lease as simple as possible and help to navigate our clients through the process in the shortest possible timeframe.

We have a great deal of experience in dealing with retail shop leases (these types of leases have stringent legal requirements under legislation) assignments of leases, lease renewals, lease surrenders as well as negotiating on your behalf in the event of a lease dispute. A lease is one of the most important legal documents that you will ever sign in business and with our help and expertise we can make sure your lease is right for you.

Franchising

We've helped people who have bought into a franchise and those who have wanted to franchise their existing business. Both circumstances involve a number of legal considerations. Franchising is governed by a code of conduct that regulates the process and dictates that a number of legal documents must be produced – we can produce all of these documents for you.

If you're a franchisee, we can also review these documents for you and help you to understand your rights and your obligations. We can also advise you on the best business structure to adopt when entering into a franchise agreement.

Succession Planning

Succession planning ensures that your business interests will be dealt with smoothly in events such as death or the separation of business partners.

Many circumstances can impact upon the effective running of a business, planning for these circumstances is an important part of long-term business success. We can help to ensure that your transition in or out of your business is smooth and properly handled.

General Contracts

People will enter into a number of contracts during their time in business such as; finance and loan agreements, intellectual property agreements, export agreements and confidentiality agreements. We can review and negotiate just about any type of general contractual agreement that you might find.

We can draft agreements to ensure your financial interests are protected, mechanisms exist for resolving disputes and that your liability is limited. As business lawyers we specialise in contract law and can therefore offer you a high level of contract law advice and assistance.

Conveyancing

We understand buying or selling your home or investment property can be stressful. We are experienced in all aspects of conveyancing in Queensland and can help guide you through the process.

You will have the peace of mind of knowing what is happening through the transaction with our open and responsive communication. Download our fact sheet "Conveyancing 101".

Wills

Why you need a Will.

You need a Will to make sure your assets go the people you want after you die. But more importantly, if you have children, a Will will also give directions on who will become the legal guardians for your kids should both parents pass away.

If you die without a Will, the government gets to decide how to distribute your estate and also who will take care of your children.

Your life is far to important to let the Government decide what happens to your estate, especially if you have children. The Government will charge fees to your estate and there can be delays that deprive your loved ones of their inheritance.

At Onsite Law, we can fast-track your Will to make sure you and your family have peace of mind in the event of the worst.

Don't put it off any longer, call us today and we will take your instructions immediately and get your Will in place.

As a great man once said, hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Peace!

Trademarks

Business branding is probably the most valuable part of any successful business venture, and your trademark Australia is one of the most common and distinctive forms of business branding.

While most Australian business people are beginning to understand that a trademark's most important purpose is to differentiate one company, business or product from another one, most people however, do not know the fundamental principles behind trademark law in Australia.

We can assist you to register or enforce your trademark.
